Dental coverage for eligible employees and dependents is offered as part of the District’s comprehensive health insurance package. Employees do not need to be enrolled in a medical plan to enroll in dental coverage. Dental coverage is offered through Ameritas Dental. Employees have an option to choose between either the Dental Base/Core ($1,000 annual max) or the Dental Buy Up ($1,500 annual max) plans. Effective in the 2025-2026 plan year, the Dental Base/Core plan will have a monthly premium of $5.00 per month. Employees may elect to purchase the Dental Buy-Up Plan to receive richer coverage and reduce their out-of-pocket dental care expenses even further.
