Connections to High School Athletics

  • The Washington Elementary School District overlaps boundaries with the Glendale Union High School District. Most of our athletes will fill the future high school teams, and we want to help you plan that journey. See the many links below as you approach high school athletics. 

    Arizona Interscholastic Association - The AIA is the Governing Body for all high school athletics.

    In order to be cleared for the first day of permissive practice, a student athlete must be cleared through the athletics office at their high school.

    This link will take you to Aktivate Register My Athlete, where a parent must sign in and follow the instructions for athletic clearance.

    Please use this link to access the requirements for Glendale High School District athletes to complete in order to be cleared. It contains information about the following: 

    • Yearly required physical examinations and required forms
    • Required Brain Book Concussion class (one time during high school) from AZ Preps 365
    • Required Opioid education course (annual) from AZ Preps 365
